This illustrated biography introduces young readers to the life of C. S. Lewis—the imagination behind Aslan and the wardrobe—and the journey that shaped his faith and writing. From childhood wonder and loss, through doubt and searching, the story traces how Lewis was “surprised by joy” and came to embrace Christianity. Narrated by a wise owl, the book invites readers to discover how Lewis found true joy and used his words to share it with the world.
